Leeds United Considering a Move for Spurs Defender

Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham youngster Dominic Ball as Garry Monk looks to have the strongest side for the upcoming Championship campaign.

Monk has already strengthened his squad by signing three main strikers in the form of Marcus Antonsson, Kemar Roofe and Hadi Sacko. Moreover, the English boss has also signed forward Lee Erwin, midfielders Tommaso Bianchi, Matt Grimes, wingers Pablo Hernandez, Billy Whitehouse, defender Kyle Bartley and goalie Robert Green to make it sure that the Yorkshire club will take a brilliant start to the new season.

However, the departure of two central defenders Scott Wootton and Giuseppe Bellusci this summer has left the former Swansea boss with fewer options in the centre of defence. In such a scenario, he is understandably desperate to add a quality defender to his team and Tottenham youngster Dominic Ball is in the limelight at the moment.

The 21-year-old caught the eye of many Championship managers with his outstanding performances for Scottish Premiership title-holders side Rangers during his season-long loan spell at the Ibrox Stadium last season.

To acquire the services of Ball, Leeds United could face competition from Rangers who are on high alert amid the reports Spurs are keen on letting the youngster secure a move to a new club during the summer transfer window.

The Tottenham Hotspur youth graduate made 21 appearances for Rangers. He also represented Northern Ireland and England national teams at youth levels.
