Chelsea takes on MK Dons in an attempt to advance further to the next round of the FA Cup as the Chelsea management will be keen to bring home some silverware at the end of the season in what would be one of their most unsuccessful League campaigns in the Roman Abramovich era.
The FA Cup and Champions League are within reach for the Blues this season, but the former seems easier to win due to the Calibre of teams in the competition.
Chelsea now faces what would be seen as a relatively easy task against MK Dons, but we should also remember that Manchester United underestimated them and paid the price so without further ado let’s take a look at the players that will be crucial in the clash.
1. Â Eden Hazard
Most Chelsea fans might be disgruntled at the Belgium international’s dip in form but as we all know he has undeniable quality and is capable of producing world class moments.
He hasn’t featured quite frequently under Guus Hiddink, but he’s expected to be given a chance to atone for his previous performances against MK Dons, and I reckon he’ll be able to do something special.
2. John Obi Mikel
The Nigerian has been somewhat of a revelation under Guus Hiddink this season as he seems to be up to the mark when it comes to his defensive duties and Link up play.
It’s almost like he’s made a second Chelsea debut this season as he’s an entirely different player now; it’s no wonder why Hiddink has chosen him over Matic in the last few games.
3. Willian
The Bushy haired Brazilian has been a shining light in Chelsea’s otherwise a lackluster season so far as his impressive performances has been able to salvage some unexpected wins for the London outfit this term.
He has proven to be one of Europe’s best set-piece takers this season with his feats from dead-ball positions, so I’m expecting him to be quite influential in the game against MK Dons.
With 8 goals and three assists this season, Willian is one to watch out for.
