Top Four an Increasing Possibility for West Ham

The top four appears to be an increasing possibility for West Ham as they have duly staked their claim in this season’s Champions League race with their magnificent performances.

Gone are the Sam Allardyce days when a mid-table finish was the highest West Ham fans could hope for.

West Ham have undergone massive changes under the guidance of Slaven Billic, who most definitely has a special place in the hearts of all West Ham fans.

With Chelsea out of contention for a Champions League spot this season, the window is open for fresh face to come In and that might very well be Slaven Billic and company.

Can they overtake Manchester United?

Manchester United are Starting to look like the Red Devils of old with the emergence of some immensely talented youngsters with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson staking their claim in the first team.

These wonder kids seem to have injected some much needed pace and creativity into the United first-team which has helped Van Gaal pick up a string of favorable results that might just continue if all goes well.

This new development at Old Trafford certainly makes Slaven Billic’s Champions League ambitions harder to realize, but it doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

The ongoing youth revolution at United could prove costly for LVG as the inexperience of the players could cause a massive slip up which could, in turn, pave the way for West Ham to move into fourth place.

Is Their Stuff Suitable for Champions League?

The London outfit have proven their consistency on many occasions.

The London outfit’s only stroke of bad luck came in the midst of an injury crisis which saw them go on a five-game winless run due to the absence of some key figures in the first-team.

Right now all the key figures are fit and ready to take on any team that comes their way as seen with their recent wins over Tottenham and Everton.

The Style of play has been a decisive factor

Under Sam Allardyce West Ham were somewhat of a drab footballing side, to say the least, but the arrival of Slaven Billic looks to have sparked a new outlook in the Hammers’ style of play which has played an important part in Slaven Billic’s early success at the London outfit.

West Ham also owes their recent fortunes to Dimitri Payet, who has been a revelation all season long for the Hammers.

Alongside Michail Antonio and Manuel Lanzini, Payet has been able to muster up performances of the highest quality.

West Ham have a passing accuracy of %77 which has significantly influenced their impressive tally of 45 goals after just 29 games.

At the moment, a top four finish is not quite sure for the Hammers, but with the high levels of confidence flowing in and around Upton Park, Slaven Billic and his close-knit bunch might just find themselves playing Champions League football next season.
